BNotK SAK Lite is a locally installed signature application component (Signaturanwendungskomponente) published by procilon IT-Logistics GmbH on behalf of the Bundesnotarkammer, the Federal Chamber of Notaries in Germany. The software serves two central purposes: the management of PINs for qualified signature cards and the secure authentication of users at protected online portals operated within the German notarial infrastructure. By running directly on the user's local workstation, BNotK SAK Lite enables cardholders to change, verify, and administer the personal identification numbers associated with their signature cards, which is a prerequisite for creating qualified electronic signatures in accordance with German and European e-signature regulations.
